Broncolor Siros 800 S Expert 2-Light Kit

Broncolor's new monolight combines unbeatable flash - and super-fast charging times with reliable and intuitive handling. At 400 and 800 watt seconds , Siros is not only available in two output versions but also as a basic- or S-model.

With flash durations from 1/8’500 s (t 0.1) or 1/19’000 s (t 0.5) in speed mode and recycling times from 0.02s you can capture every moment perfectly.

Operation using either the single rotary controller or the advanced app - both are intuitive.

High light output, up to 800 joules, in a robust housing leaves no photographer standing in the dark.

The Siros S includes the ECTC technology you know from our high-end Scoro and Move power packs. ECTC controls the flash curve and guarantees flash durations from 1/19’000s (t0.5) and constant color at all times.

The enormous control range goes up to 9 f-stops, resulting in output as low as 2 joules which gives the photographer an unrestricted choice of aperture. And the lightning-quick charging time, 0.02 to 0.9 s at 400 watt seconds, means you never have to wait.

Broncolor offers the world’s most comprehensive range of light modifiers. Siros is fully integrated into this system of unlimited creative possibilities. But that is not all! Two new reflectors have been developed especially for Siros: An umbrella reflector, which is equipped with a cover that also serves as transport protection, and a size-optimized reflector, the L40, with a snap-in system for mounting honeycomb grids barn doors with 4 wings.

BronControl
All the basic functions of Siros can be operated using the new „bronControl” app. As soon as Siros is associated with the WiFi network, each device in a studio is clearly identified by different-colored LEDs and can be controlled using a smartphone or tablet.
The photographer can make all necessary settings at the camera and centrally using the tablet - convenient and simple. That saves time and lets the photographer concentrate more intensely on his or her work.

Less is more
When it came to developing Siros, the design team concentrated on a single point: the nitty-gritty. Simple and intuitive operation were center-stage. The external housing is a single-piece of aluminum. This ensures optimum protection for the advanced technologies inside and, at the same time, gives Siros its light and elegant appearance.

The output of Siros and its menu navigation are both regulated by a single rotary controller. The energy regulation, for instance, can be adjusted with a slight turn for steps of 1/10th of a f-stop, and a new „Twist” function for whole f-stops.

The newly-developed grip is a double-wall plastic component with a special coating; it is very robust and extremely comfortable to handle. The stand adapter is made of aluminum and, together with the handle, which was specially designed for the purpose, can be used as a built-in floor stand.

Siros was developed for the complete range of broncolor light modifiers! That makes Siros the most versatile monolight on the market. The open design of the flash tube ensures optimum illu mination for every light modifier. broncolor offers a solution for every light mood and for every photographic or creative challenge. With cross-system compatibility, even if you add studio or battery-operated power packs from broncolor to your equipment, every penny you invest in accessories and light modifiers will remain usable - without restriction. Siros is integrated into broncolor’s own radio system, RFS 2. In addition, a standard sync cable and a built-in photocell are also available for synchronization.

Innovative technologies from the prize-winning Scoro and Move power packs have been adapted to the Siros S monolight.

Cut-off technology
Flash duration and light output are the two decisive factors in light control. A microprocessor in the Siros will calculate the shortest flash duration for a given output for you. This enables rapid flash sequences with up to 50 flashes per second.

Constant color temperature – ECTC
The Siros S features our second generation of our patented ECTC (Enhanced Color Temperature Control) technology, which adapts flash voltage and flash duration to each other, achieves a constant color temperature over the entire output range.

Enormous control range
With the Siros S you have a choice of 9 f-stops to set the flash output you need, from the top power level all the way down to 4 joules.

Speed Mode
When the instant counts, it is time for Speed! In Speed Mode you can set the fastest flash duration as the exclusive priority. When using Speed Mode, constant color temperature functions (ECTC) are suppressed.
